Late Night Snackswith Byron Gonzalez
Byron Gonzalez has a pantry full of musical snacks ready to share with you during the late-night hours. He loves music as much as he loves snacks.
Byron is an unfamiliar, but familiar voice on the Independent 88.5 FM. You might know him from his Latin Alternative show, Bilingual Sounds every Wednesday 9p-10p. You might have also heard him on the World Cafe. He might have also picked up your phone call during a call-in to win for some sweet tickets.
Byron is a Guatemalan-born, Los Angeles-based creative human being who hopes to bring you joy with his musical picks. 88.5 FM is the first radio gig of his career and he couldn't be happier.
Byron is also the program director to the 88.5 FM's HD3 channel, solely dedicated to bringing representation to the Latin and Spanish-speaking community here in Southern California. Aside from program director, he is also the on-air host on the Latin Alt weekdays from 9a-1p PT.
And while he is not on the air, he is also helping Jet behind the scenes as her promotions assistant. He helps her send out ticket winner confirmations, mail out swag, get contests up and running for you to participate and helps her run/control everything that 88.5 FM puts out on social media.
