With a Twist of Lana

Published 11 days ago by AJ Edmonds

Lana Del Rey’s anticipated follow up to her acclaimed 2019 Album, “ Norman F***ing Rockwell” is, in fact, not an album. Well, it’s kind of an album, but not what you’d expect. An, EP then? No, it’s an audiobook! “Violet Bent Over Backwards in the Grass,” is a spoken word recording of 14 poems by Lana Del Rey accompanied by music from award winning songwriter/producer Jack Antonoff who produced Lana’s “ Norman...” album.

“Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass” has been released as an audiobook download
and is coming October 2 on CD, Vinyl and Picture Disc. Here’s the track listing:

Feelin’ Alright

What do you do when you’re stuck? Phone a friend! Wait, that’s for “Millionaire,” not quarantine. Maybe phone a few friends? Hey, let’s get together and form a band!

Dave Mason did just that, but not just any band... how about Sammy Hagar, Michael McDonald, Mick Fleetwood, John McFee, Tom Johnston, Pat Simmons, his son, Pat Jr. and drummer Alvino Bennett? Wow, right ?! Can’t get together, everyone’s quarantining, but we can build it, we have the technology.... hey, it’s not the Six Million Dollar Man, it’s...

Dave Mason and the Quarantines! Next, they needed a song, something upbeat, something familiar, there’s comfort in that, maybe sing along too... so that you're… Feelin’ Alright!

Live from the the comfort of your vehicle...

Pop-up Drive-Ins are hot, hot hot! And THEY said, streaming would take over and theaters are dead! Guess what? The events are selling out way in advance! So it’s not surprising that the opportunity to see live music from your car has been greeted with incredible enthusiasm!

One Night Only: Nick Cave!

Published 25 days ago by AJ Edmonds

“IDIOT PRAYER: Nick Cave Alone at Alexandra Palace” is a film shot in June that will
be streamed as a live experience in North America on July 23rd at 7 PM Pacific Time.
Unlike many virtual concerts, it will not be available for online viewing after the event. It
is truly a “live” experience: no pause, rewind or fast forward. LOL, somehow it sounds
shocking in this age of video streaming, but hey, you don’t go to a real live concert and
have rewind!

The stream is billed as only one showing but there are actually three to
choose from to make it convenient for viewers from different parts of the world. So, if 7
PM doesn’t work for you you could go for 8 PM AEST (Australia and Asia) or 8PM BST
(UK and Europe).
