Ramping Up For KCSN Benefit Concert

The KCSN Benefit Concert is almost here! We're so excited to bring you another great lineup on Sunday evening that includes a Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer, a contemporary great, and a Los Angeles based artist you'll be hearing about soon.

The Rides slide3

Stephen Stills has a distinguished music career, both as a member of groups like Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and (sometimes) Young and as a solo musician. Earlier this year he teamed up with blues rock guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Barry Goldberg to create The Rides. This is a band that rocks out live, bringing not only tracks from their self-titled release, but also playing blues classics and songs from their individual catalogues. They've been known to play Stills' cuts like "For What It's Worth", "Treetop Flyer", and more!

Lucinda Williams has made a name for herself for over 30 years. She broke out into the national spotlight with 1998's Grammy winning Car Wheels On A Gravel Road. She later won another Grammy for her vocals on "Get Right With God" and was recognized earlier for writing Mary Chapin Carpenter's hit "Passionate Kisses". TIME magazine named her the best songwriter in America in 2002 and she continues to receive award nominations for her music. Her unique mix of folk, rock, and blues continues to attract new followers to her national fan base.

LP made a name for herself in the music industry primarily as a songwriter to pop stars like Rhianna and Christina Agulera. After one unforgettable South By Southwest performance, however, she caught the attention of a number of labels as a singer as well. Enter Warner Brothers Records, who has signed LP and expect big things from this Los Angeles based musician. Her rich melodies and attention grabbing vocals will make her performance hard to forget.

Tickets are still available for the concert. Head to Ticketmaster and enter the code TMN241 to get 2 for 1 tickets to the show. Remember that proceeds will go back to KCSN so we can keep providing you with the best music you can find in Los Angeles.
