Let The Genesis Rumors Commence!

For a few months, whispers of a Genesis reunion have been floating around. Considering Peter Gabriel hasn't played with the band since 1982 and Phil Collins' "retirement" since 2011, they seemed to be nothing more than just rumors.

After the past month, however, new revelations have fueled the fire and more signs emerge of an impending Genesis reunion. First, Collins performed live for the first time since 2010 at Miami Country Day School during its band recital after his sons asked him to join them on stage. He performed his classic "In The Air Tonight" along with Genesis tune "Land Of Confusion".

Now a new documentary is in production called Genesis: Together And Apart. The biggest piece of news is Gabriel's involvement with the BBC produced project. Past reunions have come close to fruition, however Gabriel's busy schedule prevented a 30th anniversary tour for Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, the closest the band came to hitting the road again. Unlike other bands rumored to reunite (*cough**cough* Led Zeppelin *cough**cough*), no one in Genesis has ever completely ruled out a tour. Only time will tell if more comes from this.
